Prisoner in a labour camp...How I spent my Easter Sunday!

Today was spent at the prison cells in Ayr Town Hall, doing a PHOTOSHOOT, for my friend Kirsty's  college project.

I am a good girl and I do have a clean record.

The theme of the shoot is tortured prisoners in China, specifically those who are locked away for undertaking meditation, called Fa Lun Gong. Kirsty is passionate about this particular area which has attracted great political controversy, till the present day. She wanted to recreate the detention and treatment of these prisoners in labour camps and she had selected me as the demo prisoner.

We began styling at 9am, at a local salon in Ayr, Loxx. It is a cute feminine boutique, quite a contrast from the actual special effect make-up we were doing. I had to have bruises painted on my face and body, as well as cuts and scars. Kirsty is a genius at creating the battered look, soon enough I looked as if I had been through some traumatisation.

How many slashes can you take?...

Conked out from the pain...

Special thanks for Bill Rogers, Llindyn Bollenhagen, Kirsty Louise Little, David Phelps. Great team!

I had a really good time being the prisoner today ha, haven't done a shoot like this, love experimenting with new concepts and ideas.

Looking forward to see the professional photographs. Thanks for checking out my blog! Hope you liked the new images:)

Much love

Into the real world.

After six months of advancing my knowledge on the the practical aspects of Scots law, the Diploma in Legal Practice Course was completed. I had Corporate Law, which is one of my favourite courses on the Diploma, on my last ever day of university. Five years had flown by so fast, although I can still remember my first day stepping on to the Glasgow University campus, especially how lost and clueless I felt. Not saying that I feel fully clocked on now, still have so much to learn.

Some of my peers and our tutor, the legendary Philip, joined some of the other folks on Ashton lane, to celebrate the completion of the Diploma as well as the beginning of our legal careers. Soon we will be starting PEAT 2, the traineeship, at various law firms across the UK. How exciting!

Ironically, on my last day of being a student, I literally stepped into the real world by hopping onto the train to London, to work at a trade show for two weeks. The experience was a realistic taster of what it feels like working as a young professional. I had undertaken sales training, product knowledge development training, before I could engage in the role of a 'Mega Baby'. The company I was working for is Megawhite. The treatment/service that was provided to clients at the trade show is a twenty-minute express teeth whitening treatment. The product reacts with the class 1 laser light to change the colour of teeth. It is a wonderful treatment and clients are generally very happy with the results. My duty was to    deliver an adequate demonstration / pitch to potential clients, followed by assisting them to undergo their teeth whitening session. Same as everything else, practice makes perfect. Soon enough I found my self and my colleague Lynsey getting the grip of things, our sales figures were flying. Teeth whitening is a fast growing concept in the booming beauty industry. Megawhite is a Scottish company that is at the frontier of the field and is doing particularly well in comparison to some of the other brands. There were lots of interested parties who would like to start up a franchise of Megawhite. The company already has around two-hundred clinics across the UK, but not many down south. London and its surroundings are huge markets. Anyone reading this who requires further info, please take a look at http://www.megawhite.co.uk. Contact details can be found there.

The beds were often completely full.

This is what it looks like when you receive the teeth whitening treatment. The client bites gently into a gum shield that contains the gel/solution. The laser light points towards the open mouth area and reacts with the solution to do the magic. Last but no least, the glasses help to protect the eyes from the intense laser light.

I came home for a few days to surprise my mum on her birthday. She was made to believe that I was an ungrateful daughter who decided to work away in London on her special day. I proved her wrong ;) My step dad and I planned a surprise dinner for her at the lovely Champany Inn. The place was stunning and food beautiful!

Mum looking fab on her birthday:)

I wish I could have taken this sign home and gave it to my mum as a birthday present. She is obsessed with meerkats. It would probably make her day if she could have this on our front post!

On a serious note, I had the privilege to meet my hero, Lord Alan Sugar. The Apprentice is my favourite TV series. Susan from the previous series was there representing her skin care brand.

I got addicted to Soreen's Banana Bread. YUM. Soreen is a leading athletic food make, they also do other fruity flavoured bread. Banana bread is by far my fav though. I don't usually eat bread at all, but this is an exception. It is quite healthy so I don't feel bad indulging a little. Thanks to my roomie Lynsey, she broadened my horizon for sure! (The flower and card were for finishing uni, really appreciated Lynsey getting them for me, one of the nicest things someone has ever done for me <3 )

There she is, the beautiful Lynsey :) We went for dinner and drinks with our boss Bryan a few times. Had so much fun. London has great social life, I cannot wait to move down there.

Mega babies and Mega daddy! Sounds dodgy but it is really quite funny, you had to be there when those terms were created:)

I also had the opportunity of a life time to see EXAMPLE with some awesome people! Sam and Tom who were working beside us at the trade show, such cool lads. Of course and the amazing Norv. Words can't describe how much fun I had that night. The atmosphere at the concert was incredible! To be honest I wasn't a massive Example fan before I went to see them, I definitely am now. It's pretty cool how a live performance can make you fall in love with the artist and the songs.

Love the view at night and the night life. It's one of the cities that never sleeps. Suits me very well!

I was gutted to leave London. I had dramatic London blues for a few days. I miss the place, the sun shine, the people and the sweet memories. . .

However, Helena, my long lost sister cheered me up with her visit from Menorca. She is such a sweet heart and free spirit. Fearless would be a good word to describe her. I feel full of energy when I am around her. Helena and Swanny, my colleague at OIS went to Drake's after party at Sugar Cube while I was working at the club that night. The club was so busy, it made my job a hundred times harder...but they had fun so I was happy.

A new 'one to watch' night was launched in Glasgow - Pretty Little Funkers! Check it out, it will be huge!

At the mean time, the Score Angels are fully booked for the Easter period. We will be performing at a lot of venues in and around Glasgow, so come mingle with us ;)

I hope everyone has a fantastic easter! Treat yourself to lots of delicious chocolate eggs, get together with friends and family and enjoy the festival spirit!

Will be back with more updates soon.

Love
